NYC Local filmmakers celebrate the success of their new short series Pilot, Yellow Lines, in Festival Circuit

With new upcoming dates to see a screening in 2023.

New York, NY - The pilot episode of a new short series called Yellow Lines has hit the festival circuit and is already picking up steam with award nominations and wins including winning for Best Pilot at the Chain NYC Film Festival. Co-producers and actresses in the series, Carly Wilkins and Kristin Papadopoulos, were nominated for Best Acting Duo at the Indie Short Fest and won the Outstanding Achievement Award (Web Series & TV Pilot) at the same festival.

 

The series follows Quinn and Nik, two NYC roommates and best friends as they navigate the toughest week of their lives. In the pilot one of our leads gets publicly broken up with and the other has a surprise engagement on the very same night triggering one to hold a big secret in a misguided attempt to help mend the other’s broken heart. This engaging plot coupled with the fast pace 10-12 minute episodes is sure to be a binge-worthy hit.

 

The team behind this series is happy to announce that if you have not had the chance yet to see a screening of this pilot then 2023 will bring you more opportunities to catch this endearing mix of love, friendship, and a good dash of silly comedic moments. New Yorkers can check out this pilot at The Cutting Room International Short Film Festival this January and at the Winter Film Awards International Film Festival this February. Early 2023 the production team will be seeking funding to film the entity of the 8 episode first season arc with the help of the their growing and supportive fan base. So, this is just the beginning for the Yellow Lines series!
